Caregiver Heroes

Official Campaign Rules

Effective 10 Apr 2026

Dez may update these rules from time to time. That is in addition to Dez's right to modify, suspend, or end the program itself, as set out under Program changes. For consent and data use, refer to the Nominator Media & Content Consent, the Caregiver Media & Participation Consent, and the Privacy Policy. The FAQ on Caregiver Heroes answers common questions in plain language.

Program changes

Dez reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Caregiver Heroes Program or any part of it at any time, including voting cycles and prize structures, where reasonably necessary.

Eligibility and who may nominate

  1. Anyone who has experienced caregiving may nominate — including family members, care recipients, friends, neighbours, or caregivers themselves.
  2. Caregivers may be based anywhere in the world; prizes and delivery follow the program FAQ (e.g. in-person collection may apply only where stated, such as Singapore; other regions may be shipped).
  3. Caregiver Heroes is a recognition program, not a medical service.

Participation, consent, and review

  1. The nominated caregiver must approve participation before the nomination can proceed. Without that approval, the nomination cannot continue.
  2. The caregiver is informed that they were nominated; this keeps the process transparent before any story or media is shared publicly.
  3. All nominations are reviewed by the team. A submission may be declined if it does not meet program standards (for example: missing approval, sensitive or inappropriate content, accusations about others, incomplete or misleading information, or breach of these rules). Dez and Dez Labs Private Limited reserve the right to make final decisions on nominations and participation.
  4. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection for public voting or recognition.
  5. Keep stories respectful and focused on recognising the caregiver. Avoid unnecessary sensitive personal or medical detail.

Voting cycles and timelines

  1. The program runs in bi-weekly public voting cycles. Approved nominations may be scheduled for a future cycle; not every nomination will appear in voting.
  2. To be considered for the next voting window, the caregiver must have approved participation and the nomination must be fully submitted by the Wednesday before that cycle (see cycle dates on the site). Late submissions may roll to a later cycle.
  3. If a caregiver was nominated but did not win, you may submit a new nomination in a future cycle. Caregivers who have already won during the same program year cannot be nominated again during that year, as described in the FAQ.

Conduct

  1. Voting and participation must be fair and in good faith.
  2. Dez reserves the right to investigate voting activity and may remove votes, disqualify nominations, or suspend participation where manipulation, abuse, or unfair practices are suspected.

Disqualification & Suspension

  1. Dez reserves the right to investigate participation and voting activity at any time.
  2. Dez may, at its sole discretion, disqualify any nomination, remove votes, or suspend or ban participants from the program where:

    • false, misleading, or fraudulent information is submitted;
    • caregiver approval is not valid or is withdrawn;
    • voting manipulation or unfair practices are suspected;
    • program rules are breached;
    • conduct is abusive, harmful, or inappropriate.
  3. Decisions made by Dez in relation to disqualification, suspension, or banning are final.

Identity and verification

Dez may request reasonable verification of identity and eligibility from participants and winners.

Biweekly Prizes

  1. The top Caregiver Hero wins a prize package including:

    • A 12-month Dez membership for up to five users (minimum one primary caregiver and one dependent).
    • A gift bag of aroma oils and a choice of tea or coffee from Singapore brands.
    • Caregiver Hero merch — T-shirt, mug, and cap.
  2. Combined approximate value: USD $500.
  3. Winning entry (cycle): the winning entry receives merch from Dez worth approximately USD $100.
  4. Prizes and gifts are non-transferable and are not exchangeable for cash or other consideration.
  5. Dez reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equivalent value where necessary.
  6. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or local regulations associated with receiving prizes.
  7. Dez may request reasonable verification of identity and eligibility before awarding prizes.
  8. Winners will be contacted by the team to confirm details and sizing (for example for T-shirts).

Year-End Prize

Current prize: USD $2,000 cash.

Dez reserves the right to modify, substitute, or adjust the prize where reasonably necessary. Any substitute prize will be of equal or greater value.

Prize Delivery & Winner Contact

  1. Dez will make reasonable efforts to contact winners using the details provided.
  2. Dez is not responsible for:

    • delays in shipping or delivery;
    • incorrect or incomplete contact information provided by participants;
    • inability to reach winners due to non-response or inaccessible contact details.
  3. Dez and affiliates will not be responsible for any additional duties, taxes, or import fees incurred during delivery.
  4. Winners must respond within two (2) months of the initial contact attempt.
  5. If a prize shipment is returned due to incorrect details, failed delivery, or non-collection, any re-delivery or re-shipment costs will be borne by the winner.
  6. If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within this period, or is unable to accept the prize, Dez reserves the right to:

    • forfeit the prize; or
    • select an alternative winner at its discretion.
  7. Any replacement winner will be subject to the same eligibility and verification requirements.
