If you do not enter or provide information in a given area, we do not collect or hold that data.

3. User Roles and Access

DezCareAI operates on a role-based access model. Each user is assigned a role that determines their permissions, visibility, and responsibilities within the App.

3.1 User Roles

RoleDescriptionAccess Level

3.2 Access and Permissions

3.2.1 Account control

  1. (1)
There must be only one Primary Caregiver (PCG) at any given time.
  2. (2)
    Only the PCG can:
    1. (a)
Onboard dependents (DEP), secondary caregivers (SCG), or care team members (CT)
    2. (b)
      Revoke or modify access permissions
    3. (c)
Delegate full control to an SCG either:
      1. (i)
Temporarily (for a defined period): access automatically reverts to the PCG at the end of the defined period
      2. (ii)
Permanently: the original PCG may reverse this change within a limited timeframe

3.2.2 Data visibility and privacy

  1. (1)
Caregivers (CGS) cannot view each other's personal data.
  2. (2)
    Secondary caregivers (SCG):
    1. (i)
May be granted access to dependent (DEP) data
    2. (ii)
Permissions are controlled by the PCG
  3. (3)
Dependents (DEP) can only access their own data.

3.2.3 Care Team (CT) access (Support Circle)

Care Team members:

  1. (1)
Do not have access to full user data
  2. (2)
Do not have access to core modules
  3. (3)
Do not have access to other Care Team members' information

CT access is limited to:

  1. (1)
    Receiving alerts and notifications
  2. (2)
Providing updates in response to alerts
  1. (1)
Care Team members are non-paying users and participate only in a support capacity.

3.2.4 Notifications and responses

  1. (1)
When a notification is triggered, PCG, SCG, and CT members may receive alerts; a response or update is expected; updates are shared with caregivers (CGS).
  2. (2)
Notification priority levels may include: Priority 1 (Critical), Priority 2 (High), Priority 3 (Medium), Priority 4 (Low).
  3. (3)
Escalation mechanisms may be applied where no response is received within expected timeframes.

3.2.5 Notifications and visibility

DezCareAI uses a structured notification system to support caregiving and wellbeing.

  1. (1)
    Caregiver notifications
    1. (a)
The Primary Caregiver (PCG) receives notifications across all associated dependents (DEP) and has the broadest visibility of alerts.
    2. (b)
Secondary Caregivers (SCG) receive notifications only for dependents they are assigned to and do not receive alerts for other dependents.
  2. (2)
Notification privacy between caregiversCaregivers (PCG and SCG) do not have visibility into each other's notifications, alerts, or responses and only have access to data and updates relevant to their assigned permissions. This separation is designed to protect privacy, prevent misuse or unnecessary exposure, and maintain clear responsibility boundaries.
  3. (3)
Care Team (CT) notificationsCare Team members receive alerts based on configurations set by the PCG, can respond to notifications where applicable, and do not have access to broader system data or caregiver-level visibility.
  4. (4)
Response and updatesWhen a notification is triggered, relevant users (PCG, SCG, or CT) may receive the alert; responses or updates may be recorded in the system; updates may be visible to authorised caregivers based on permissions.

Community Admins are team members internal to Dez who may support escalation processes and facilitate communication during critical situations.

DezCareAI uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies to support caregiving workflows, generate insights, and improve user experience.

4.3.2 Nature of AI outputs

  1. (1)
AI-generated outputs are informational and supportive in nature, are not medical advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional judgment.
  2. (2)
Users should consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions.

4.3.3 Limitations of AI

You acknowledge that AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated outputs; may not account for all real-world variables; and are continuously improving but not infallible.

4.3.4 Human oversight

  1. (1)
AI features are designed to support — not replace — caregivers.

  1. (1)
DezCareAI enables caregiving coordination through controlled access.
  2. (2)

  3. (3)
All access is permission-based, configurable within the App, and intended to support caregiving and wellbeing.

We may use or share data that has been de-identified and aggregated for research and analytics, product improvement, public health insights, and collaboration with healthcare institutions, researchers, or government bodies.

This data does not identify any individual, cannot reasonably be used to identify a person, and is processed to remove direct identifiers.

5.6 Support Circle (care network access)

  1. (1)
DezCareAI allows Primary Caregivers (PCG) to designate a "support circle" (e.g. family members, friends, or trusted individuals).
  2. (2)
Members of the support circle do not have full access to personal or health data; receive limited alerts or notifications based on configurations set by the primary caregiver; and may be notified to check in on a user's wellbeing.

5.6.1 Controlled access

  1. (1)
Access for support circle members is defined and controlled by the primary caregiver, limited to the minimum information necessary, and configurable within the App.

5.6.2 Nature of alerts

  1. (1)
Alerts shared with the support circle are intended to prompt awareness or check-ins, do not constitute medical advice, and are limited in scope to protect user privacy.

5.6.3 User control

  1. (1)
The PCG retains control over who is included in the support circle, what alerts are shared, and the level of visibility granted.

6. Data Security

  1. (1)
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.
    • Personal data is encrypted in transit using secure protocols (e.g. HTTPS/TLS) when transmitted between your device and our servers

We use trusted infrastructure providers with established security practices
