How voting works

Follow these steps to take part in public voting. When you're ready, go back to the Vote page to browse nominations and open a cycle.

   Open a voting cycle

   Start from the Vote page, the voting cycles list, or use the “View & vote” button in the Voting Cycles section on the Caregiver Heroes page.

   Read the nominees

   Each card shows the caregiver’s name, story, and any photo or video the team has approved for that cycle. Take your time to read before you choose.

   Sign in to vote

   You must be logged in to vote. Use Login in the menu (or Sign up) so your upvotes can be tied to your account.

   Upvote

   Each nominee has an up arrow on the left. Tap it to support that caregiver. You can upvote more than one person in the same cycle if you want to cheer on several stories.

   Change your mind or undo

   Tap the same up arrow again on a nominee to remove your upvote for that person only. The score under the arrow updates to reflect your choice. While signed in, your upvotes for that cycle are saved for your account.

6. 6

   Share a nominee

   Use the share icon under the score to copy a link or open your phone or computer’s share menu—great for WhatsApp, X, Facebook, or email. Shared links open the right voting page and scroll to that caregiver.
